About Me:

I was born in Lagos, Nigeria and grew up in Central Jersey. I graduated from Ithaca College with a B.A. in Architectural Studies, while my focus at the time was design and theory I was always more interested in political (i.e. relationships of power) and social formations and how these are mediated, embodied, and enforced as architectures in and of themselves. I'd like to think that trying to navigate my identies as queer, black, and first generation/third-culture before I had the language to describe the ways these intersect, overlap and contend with one another is what drew me to investigating the social (and finding sanctuary in what alternative worlds are possible through speculative fiction) I'm interested in scholarship at the intersection of social research, information science, critical digital making, and science and technology studies. I envision myself working in a hybrid practice, part digital scholarship librarian, part designer, part tech ethicist and researcher working in service of radically just and liberative futures for the marginalized.
